AR15: BEYOND THE BASICS - LEVEL 1

Be advised, this class will be held at an outdoor range facility in Morley, MI.  Appropriate dress is important. We train in what mother nature gives us! Extreme and/ or dangerous weather will result in the postponement or rescheduling the class all together. There is a restroom and / or portable restroom available.

COST

The price for this class is $150.00 At the time of booking, we secure a deposit and the balance is due at the beginning of class.
There will also be a $25 range fee payable to the range the day of class. (cash preferred)

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

This training is specifically designed to accommodate people of all skill levels

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Students should be in reasonably good health, but with advanced notice of any physical limitations or special needs, we can work to make accommodations. 

COURSE OUTLINE

This course teaches:

  • Understanding Zero – Why a properly zeroed rifle matters, what “zero” really means, and the logic behind different zero distances

  • Safe Weapon Manipulation – Mounting the rifle from multiple ready positions with an emphasis on safety, muzzle awareness, and trigger discipline 

  • Target Engagement – Accurate engagement of multiple targets out to 100 yards 

  • Stress-Inoculation Drills – Scenario-based and game style drills and exercises that challenge mental resilience and decision-making under pressure

  • Intro to Angles & Movement – Learn how angles affect engagements and how to move safely to new positions 

  • Shooting from various positions – Engage effectively from standard, compromised, or unconventional positions (expect to get physical and dirty) 

  •  Managing External Stressors – Maintain composure, awareness, and control while under outside pressure

You will walk away from this class equipped with the knowledge and confidence you need to own, and continue your training with your AR15.

EQUIPMENT LIST

AR15 platform with 2 magazines (.223 or 5.56 only.  PLEASE, no 7.62 / .308, or other large calibers for this class)
Safety glasses
Hearing protection
Closed-toe shoes or boots (Lace-up boots prefered)

Weather appropriate clothing (Dress in Layers)
Food and drinks. (There will be a water cooler on site)

 

AMMUNITION REQUIREMENTS

200-300 Rounds of appropriate ammunition for your firearm
NO RELOADS or REMANUFACTURED ammo
