CONCEALED CARRY FUNDAMENTALS
DURATION
OVERVIEW
This course is approximately 8 hours.
The course consists of a classroom presentation, hands on demonstrations, a written exam, and a live-fire component / qualification. Once the classroom portion of the instruction is complete, we will conduct the written exam, break for lunch, and then qualify with your weapon. Be advised, part of this course will be held at our outdoor range facility. Appropriate dress is important. We train in what mother nature gives us! Extreme and / or dangerous weather will result in the postponement or rescheduling of either the live-fire portion or the class or arrangements can be made to reschedule the class all together. There is a restroom and/or portable restroom available at both sites.
COST
The price for this course is $100.00 At the time of booking, we secure a deposit and the balance is due at the beginning of class.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
This course meets and exceeds Michigan's Pistol Training or Safety Program requirements as specified in section 28.425j of 1927 PA 372.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
This training course is specifically designed to accommodate people of all skill levels. While a working knowledge with a pistol is preferred, it is not necessary.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Students should be in reasonably good health, but with advanced notice of any physical limitations or special needs, we can and will make accommodations. We will not let your disability stop you, if you won't!
COURSE OUTLINE
This course teaches:

Handgun basics and shooting fundamentals

Understanding how to avoid conflict

How to be aware of your surroundings

The psychology of violent encounters

The legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath)

​Home security & Home defense fundamentals
You will walk away from this class equipped with the knowledge and confidence you need to own, carry, and defend yourself and your loved ones with a concealed firearm.
EQUIPMENT LIST
Semi-automatic pistol with 2 magazines
Safety glasses
Hearing protection
Closed - Toe shoes or boots
Weather appropriate clothing (Dress in Layers)
Paper and a writing utensil for notes and test taking
Snacks and drinks. (Light refreshments will be provided)
AMMUNITION REQUIREMENTS
50-100 Rounds of appropriate ammunition for your firearm
NO RELOADS or REMANUFACTURED ammo
